Most of my works are parts of wider cycles, dealing with a certain theme. To clearly understand the broader context of the creative process, view the following. To open each gallery, click on pictures bellow description.
Ping Pong (2021)
During the times of Covid-19 restrictions and lockdown
we've played a painting game with my friend Eva, which we called ping pong. It
had strict rules. We had to paint a picture on a theme set by the opponent, who
also chose the art technique, format etc. The aim of this somewhat malicious social
game, which became our only sports / social activity for a long time, was to hit
my opponent with a well-targeted ban or restriction: force her to exit her comfort
zone, so she wouldn't have been able to strike back and "smash the ball" (to
smash the ball means to paint an exceptional picture). Analyzis and evaluation
of the benefits of the project will come when we meet again after lockdown.
Collection of Athletes (2021)
never had ambitions in any sport. I almost failed my gym class, but I saved my
skin by a written work on the topic "My back no longer hurts",
accompanied by illustrations of exercises. Somewhat twenty years later, this
cycle of small figural paintings is an attempt to fix my relationship with sport.
Racing Tracks (2021)
A series of large graphic prints inspired by children's racing tracks, dedicated to all modular system lovers. The cycle gently flirts with the symbol of infinity, an abstract expression of something that has no end.
